“The students had such a great time in the engaging harmonica workshops, and even better was that they mostly all brought their new harmonicas two weeks later to my class and showed how they could all play songs. It was just brilliant!”

Lou Devoy, Head of Performing Arts – Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Ringwood, Melbourne

“Chris ran 2 workshops for our Year 7 & 8 students. Within the engaging 1-hour incursions Chris managed not only to teach students how to perform several songs on the harmonica, but also included demonstrations of a variety of harmonicas, introduced students to reading harmonica tablature, provided opportunities for students to utilise and develop their aural skills and gave students the opportunity to perform for their peers. I was very impressed by the positive energy and engaging manner that Chris brought to the workshops and with how closely the sessions aligned with the goals of our music program and the Victorian Music Curriculum. I would highly recommend this incursion for all secondary schools.”

Callum Harber, Head of Performing Arts – Greensborough Secondary College, Melbourne.

“All of my students from Waaia-Yalca P.S. had the best session learning the basics of the harmonica with Chris. At home time, one of my students walked and played all the way home! We all loved the incursion. It was great fun.”

Susan Olley, Principal – Waaia-Yalca South Primary School.

“The students and staff at St Joseph’s have loved playing their harmonicas during their Remote Learning Program. The Harp’s a Breeze instrumental program provided a much needed break from screens, developed a new skill set and most importantly added the joy of music to learning. Our students loved sharing newly learnt tunes when they connected with their peers in their daily Google Meets. Chris’s Online Harmonica Tutorials extended a sweet-sounding silver lining to us during the Pandemic.”

Leonie Sheehy, Principal – St Joseph’s Primary School Boronia, Melbourne.

“Chris was easy to communicate with when arranging workshops. Ours had to be delivered remotely, and his online tutorials were easy for the students (and teachers) to follow. Students were so excited to receive their brand new shiny harmonicas. The materials provided were so simple that some students started playing with minimal assistance. After only 2 weeks, students performed short songs at our online school concert. I did this with our Year 3-6 students and will do this with our F-2 students next year. My students have continued with their harmonica practice via me presenting music on Google Slides. It’s a small, portable and affordable instrument that allows every student a chance to own an instrument. Thank you so much Chris for your terrific workshops, support and check-ins. Much appreciated and loads of fun!”

Christopher Davies, Performing Arts/Wellbeing Coordinator – Bridgewood Primary School, Officer, Melbourne.

“Chris of Harp’s a Breeze ran two excellent workshops for our juniors and seniors. We had many staff keen to give the harmonica a try to. Chris was very engaging and very willing to go the extra mile joining in with our inter-school jam later in the day. I’d have him back for sure!”

Dr Peter Farrell, Principal – Zeerust Primary School, Victoria.

“The Melbourne Inner North Performing Arts Academy was privileged to have Chris Maunders conduct one of his wonderful Harp’s a Breeze Harmonica Workshops. I would highly recommend the engaging, musically educational and inspirational delivery of this program for my young learners. Chris himself is also very charismatic and professional in his delivery, and I was delighted to see all my students gain an even greater joy and love for music, and become inspired to become amazing harmonica players like Chris himself. Thank you, we will definitely book you again.”
